PCCA Awards Annual George Roentsch Scholarship to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Pharmacist


HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thomas “TJ” Marti, of CareFirst Pharmacy, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was awarded the George Roentsch Scholarship by PCCA. Marti received the award in Houston during PCCA's International Seminar on November 5. The scholarship is awarded annually to an independent pharmacist and PCCA member who embodies the innovative and sharing nature of George Roentsch, RPh., who was a well-known pharmacist in the compounding community.

Marti was nominated for the award by his peers. He was chosen for the scholarship because of his innovation in pharmacy practice, a willingness to share compounding concepts with peers, embracing learning and education and contributing to the growth and success of the practice.

Roentsch was the owner/pharmacist of The Apothecary in Keene, New Hampshire, and is fondly remembered for his work, which advanced the art and science of custom-made prescription medications. Roentsch was passionate about compounding and generously shared many of his compounding formulas and innovations with fellow compounders.
