HRT & Functional Medicine Symposium

February 23-25, 2023 | In-Person at Caesars Palace + Virtual | Las Vegas, Nevada

Conferences & Symposiums

Summary

Exploring a new twist to a common niche. We are back in person, in Las Vegas, AND we’re bringing NEW speakers and content!

Functional medicine plays a critical role in determining the root cause of patients’ symptoms. Whether it’s hormonal changes as women age, adrenal concerns or gut health issues, it’s important to look at the diagnosis, symptoms and underlying issues the patient has.

NEW SPEAKERS!

  • Mark Holthouse, MD, ABoIM, IFMCP
    • Which patients should receive HRT? Dr. Holthouse will discuss his “red light, yellow light, green light” approach as he evaluates the risk of HRT for his patients. For example, for “yellow light” patient groups – women with increased risk of breast cancer, elevated baseline estradiol, abnormal methylation issues and/or elevated leptin – HRT is considered questionable.
    • Fasting, Hormones and Men’s Sexual Health will cover men’s health in a unique way. Dr. Holthouse will explain the importance of insulin resistance on hormones and how treating male patients is about way more than giving testosterone. Whether you see males, females or both, this presentation is sure to provide you with key take home points to help them build resiliency.
  • Sarah Zielsdorf, MD, MS
    • A 5-star-rated speaker at PCCA’s International Seminar 2022, she will be speaking at our Las Vegas HRT Symposium for the first time! Dr. Zielsdorf will bring her passion, expertise and energy to educate, inspire and empower you to better help your patients. Her presentations will cover the importance of detox, the role of the gut and how adrenals impact hormones. It is important to fix these areas before addressing sex hormone imbalance.
    • Low-dose naltrexone (LDN) is such a hot topic now and Dr. Zielsdorf will share how she incorporates this into her practice to help her patients with inflammatory conditions. She uses it for thyroid disease, autoimmune conditions and much more!
