ACT Virtual Legislative Conference

May 10 | 11 am - 3 pm CT | Virtual Hill Visits: May 12

Conferences & Symposiums

Summary

Take charge of your future and the future of compounding. Attend this year’s ACT Virtual Legislative Conference and personally meet with your federal lawmakers to communicate concerns about patient access to compounded medications. Your voice is essential as Congress could consider and vote on issues related to pharmacy compounding and patient access at any time.

Join us on May 10 to learn about the issues and prepare to meet your lawmakers virtually on the Hill on May 12 (2-3 short meetings). We’ll match you with your Congressional representatives and using the web-based AdvocacyDay platform, we’ll handle all the logistics and host your virtual meetings. PCCA team members will join you in the Congressional meetings.

Who should register?

  • Anyone who compounds hormones.
    • The NASEM report recommends the most commonly compounded hormones be considered for FDA’s Difficult to Compound List – anything on this list is illegal to compound!
  • Anyone who has animal patients.
    • Draft Guidance for Industry that drastically limits what you can compound for animal patients could be finalized at any time!
  • Anyone who wants to protect the future of their practice and their patients’ access to compounded medications.

Here’s what you can expect at the conference:

  • You’ll be an effective virtual advocate. Together, we’ll review the landscape in Washington, key issue priorities and what to request of lawmakers. We’ll even cover best practices for effective virtual Congressional meetings.
  • You’ll be supported. You’ll be fully prepared going into your virtual meeting and positioned to make a lasting impression. PCCA Public Affairs team members will support you in this effort and will join you in the meeting.
  • Easy logistics and follow-up. Your Hill visit(s) will take place on the easy-to-use, web-based AdvocacyDay platform. We’ll cover how to use this platform during our conference, showing how you can quickly access:
    • The lawmaker’s bio
    • Issue briefs and requests
    • Follow-up/thank-you emails, so that you can maintain your relationship after the meeting
