Celebrating Innovation

PCCA pays tribute to George Roentsch, RPh, each year during International Seminar by honoring the passionate, innovative and sharing compounding pharmacists of the future with the George Roentsch New Innovator Award. To be considered for the award, the compounder must:

  • Be a PCCA member pharmacist for less than five years
  • Demonstrate innovation in their practice
  • Demonstrate a willingness to share compounding concepts with other compounders
  • Embrace learning and education
  • Foster a successful and growing practice
  • Qualify for PCCA’s Member Rewards Program

George Roentsch, RPh

George was the owner/pharmacist of The Apothecary in Keene, New Hampshire, and is fondly remembered for his work, which advanced the art and science of custom-made prescription medications. A constant and memorable presence at PCCA seminars throughout the years, George was passionate about compounding and generously shared many of his formulas and innovations with fellow compounders. He may have left this Earth in November 2011, but George’s work continues to advance the art and science of compounding and leaves a lasting legacy.
